Assassin's Creed at Ubidays

Yeah, it was a few days ago, but I've been pretty busy.

New gameplay footage was shown at Ubidays. I was previously totally uninterested in this game, but after the new videos, I'm totally buying it on launch.

There was a new trailer, which semi-mimicked the Gears/Mad World ad in the same way the GRAW 2/Gimme Danger video did. The difference is, that this trailer was almost entirely in-game footage.

In addition to the trailer, there was a two part explanation of a lot of the features and technology involved with Jade Raymond from Ubi. I think these videos were exclusive to GameTrailers, but they offer most things in HD these days, so you can fully enjoy them.

Anyway, Jade describes how the character has something like 800 context sensitive actions that can be performed, and how those are being handled using a standard controller.

She also goes on to explain that the PS3 and 360 versions of the game are using all the same assets, and that the engines have the same capabilities. She does mention that the textures are slightly different on the PS3. She doesn't say different in what way, of course, but considering that textures have been a bit of an issue in PS3 ports from the 360, I'm forced to assume worse. The frame rate is apparently slightly better on the 360, which is unsurprising, considering that Ubi openly admits that the 360 is their primary platform.

Check out the videos on the Assassin's Creed page at GameTrailers.
