Famitsu is claiming that Squenix is going to announce a new game in the Star Ocean series next month at their big event.
I'm praying it's more like The Second Story than Till The End of Time. Second Story is my favorite RPG of all time, while Till The End of Time is one of my most hated, largely because they destroyed what could, and should have been a fantastic game.
I'd even be ecstatic with news of a remake of Second Story, but I would really prefer a new game more closely related to the second than the third.
I'm quite curious about the platform though... I can't picture Squenix putting it on the 360, it's not likely to fit on the DS... I'm expecting PS3, Wii, or PSP, whichever it ends up being, I'll buy, or re-buy the machine to play it, depending how it ends up looking.

I've never played any Star Ocean game, but I think I remember you speaking highly of it before. I may get around to checking it out when this new one enters the gaming market, but man, I get burnt out quickly on newer RPGs unfortunately. They just don't feel the same to me.
Speaking of which, I wish they'd release a Suikoden in the style of parts I and II. That'd be awesoime!
I agree, most modern RPGs just don't hold me, I think the last one I seriously played was Final Fantasy X on the PS2.
But as I mentioned, I'm praying this one is more like The Second Story, the PS2 sequel was a piece of crap.
